Vocational education can be classified as teaching procedural knowledge as opposed to declarative knowledge which is used in the broader scientific field. Programs under vocational courses are quite direct in their approach and are tailor-made so that an individual can be job-ready. The vocational course generally certifies that an individual is skilled enough to perform a particular profession. Research has shown that additional training has a positive impact on a person’s employment opportunities. Acquiring new skills and competencies can extend options for professional advancement and offer additional career choices. There are also indications that VET may contribute to reducing unemployment and protect people from becoming unemployed in the first place.
Having a big number of youth comprised by those who dropped out of the school because poverty in their families, others who completed their studies but are still unemployed we found out that this program helps them get trained ,well empowered and equipped with applicable skills. This enables them set out to the market place with competence and confidence with creativity and job-ready, where they can graduate from unemployment to great employers.
